We enjoyed a great, relaxing over night stay at David and Linda Dennis's home in Winthrop- (Kathy's dad and step-mom). The stars were brilliant over the clear Methow Valley that night.
8-7-11 Day 2: Through the Palouse to Pullman, WA to see our son Ross. After a great potroast dinner with all the trimmings we visited & spent the night in his new apartment (along with his dog, Freyja!). Trying to get used to 85-90 degrees!
8-8-11 Day 3: At Lewiston, ID we jumped onto Lolo Pass (Hiway 12) for a windy 200 mile/ 6 hr. ride through Idaho into Missoula, MT. The scenery is exquisite with the road following the Clearwater and Lochsa rivers with an almost unobstructed view of the water the whole way. This is also one of the Lewis and Clark & Nez Perce trails. We saw 2 deer but no bear so got to keep the bear spray in my pocket! Another hot day 85-95! We are staying in a hotel in Missoula for the night gearing up for some upcoming camping.... All is well here.
8-6-11 Day 1: Off we go onto the next adventure. Our neighbor stopped and took our picture as we ventured out of Mt. Vernon. Months of planning, days of packing and we hope we are ready!
Over the North Cascade Highway towards Winthrop, WA on a beautiful day. We stopped at Diablo Lake for a picnic lunch. Lots of motorcyclists out today :)
